Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Classical Hematology clinical faculty.

The Division of Hematology, Oncology and Cell Therapy in the Department of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center / Rush University Cancer Center is recruiting a Classical Hematologist, at the assistant, associate or professor level.  The successful candidate will be board certified or eligible in hematology, have an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and have experience in clinical and laboratory aspects of Hematology in the areas of anemia and disorders of hemostasis.  The predominant criteria is a major commitment to clinical research, teaching and patient satisfaction, excellence in clinical care, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service, appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. 

Our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center facility in Chicago will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from hematology, medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. Additional compensation may include sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $ 314,310 - $ 519,580
