Essential Functions:
- Provides complete, comprehensive, clinical care for all patients in the fields of internal medicine, hematology, and oncology.
- Provides clinical care services including, but not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, preventive and health care maintenance to patients.
- Works collaboratively with other providers and nurses to provide comprehensive, compassionate health care to all patients.
- Reassesses progress of the disease as treatment progresses and pursue alternative therapies as needed, as well as palliative care when appropriate.
- Maintains patients quality of life by managing cancer-related pain and other symptoms and side effects of treatment.
- Maintains timely and detailed notes of appointments with patients.
- Prepares official health documents or records, when necessary.
- Participates in committees, quality assurance activities, and continuing medical education to maintain excellence in clinical practice.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology/Oncology/Internal Medicine.
- Current and unrestricted New York State license and DEA number.
- Bi-lingual in English and Chinese, required.
- 3+ years of experience preferred but all welcome.
