Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care

Overview

JOB SPECIFICS

• Busy urgent care practice seeks a Family, Urgent or Emergency Medicine physician to serve our well-established practice with a growing patient base.
• Practice model includes a combination of APP’s and physicians with two providers staffing each location daily.
• Prompt care clinic hours are Mon-Friday, 8am – 8pm 12 hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations between the three office locations. A typical shift would be twelve hours, three times a week. There are also opportunities to work extra shifts for additional pay if desired.
• Excellent work/life balance with no call, no afterhours and no follow-up

• This position will primarily cover two 12-hour shifts at Ottawa South Prompt Care per pay period. Additional hours will be distributed flexibly across Mendota and Streator Prompt Care sites, based on market needs, including coverage for peak periods, staff absences (e.g., PTO, FMLA), and seasonal demand.  Specific schedules will be coordinated with the Hiring Manager, Dr. Syed Zaidi, and Operations Manager, Cari Bedeker.

• Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-68.10 hr. This is a salaried position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
• Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in urgent care or a related field is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
