We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Medicine Doctor to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care related to workplace health and safety, injury prevention, and the management of work-related illnesses. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, treating, and preventing work-related injuries and illnesses while ensuring compliance with occupational health regulations and promoting the overall well-being of employees.
- Provide medical care and treatment to employees for work-related injuries and illnesses, including musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory conditions, and exposure to environmental hazards.
- Conduct pre-employment, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty evaluations to ensure employees are physically capable of performing their job duties safely.
- Collaborate with employers, safety teams, and HR personnel to develop and implement strategies for improving workplace health and safety.
- Perform workplace injury assessments and recommend modifications or accommodations for employees when necessary.
- Monitor and assess employees' health risks related to workplace conditions, such as exposure to chemicals, noise, or repetitive motions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patient interactions and treatments.
- Provide recommendations for workplace safety programs, ergonomic improvements, and health promotion initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company health policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, ADA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with specialists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive care.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety matters, including injury prevention and wellness programs.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in occupational medicine, health regulations, and industry best practices.
- Must understand and be able to articulate the differences in assessment between the concepts of medical causation and those related to workers’ compensation
- May provide on-site medical coverage for the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation program and Heart Failure Clinic.
