Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Surgery

The Department of Orthopedics at Banner Health and Banner Medical Group (BMG) is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing team of Orthopedic Surgeons in Phoenix Metro - West Valley. We provide care to a varied group of patients with Orthopedic General/Trauma Foot/Ankle and Lower Extremity surgical needs. Our PA will see patients in the orthopedic surgery clinic round on patients in the hospital; and provide surgical first-assist in the OR. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, a critical thinker, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team.

Requirements:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Arizona
• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• DEA with prescriptive authority
• ACLS/BLS
• Experienced PA w/Orthopedic skill preferred

Practice Details:

• Full-time (7 days on; 7 days off)
• Inpatient/Outpatient position: First Assist, Hospital rounding and Trauma Clinic
• Call: Practice Call only (7 shifts per month)
