The Digestive Health APP will manage Digestive Health patients from initial consultation through diagnosis and treatment. The role involves collaboration & access to physicians that perform advanced technologies such as the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for minimally invasive gastroenterology surgeries, 180 & 190 HD scopes and complex cases requiring enhanced precision.
- Need: CMC is recruiting another GI APP due to inpatient needs and expansion. We currently have 5 Docs and 3 NPs. The goal is to have 9 full time providers in the group. We are seeking to make the service line more streamline and reduce the new patient wait down from 4 weeks to 1 week.
- Candidate Parameters: Open to experienced and in-training NP and/or PA will be considered, both American and international graduates, are considered.

- Typical Schedule:
- Full time position – Monday thru Friday
- 36 Inpatient Contact Hours – 4 Admin Hours/week
- Consults and rounding with the physician on call.
- Scope of Practice
- 220 bed level 3 trauma center intaking 60k+ emergency department visits annually
- Daily census is 150+
- CMC Digestive Clinic is located on the 2nd floor of the medical arts building that is directly connected to the main hospital.
- Only covering 1 hospital
- 2 FSEs (free Standing EDS – coming online in 2025/early 2026) the APP will not have to cover those off campus facilities
- 18-24 bed closed ICU/CCU (3rd floor – 16-18 beds historically have been used as capacity)
- Primarily handling all inpatient needs collaboration with on call physician, Team Health Hospitalist, CMC Employed Emergency Department team and the acute care team (surgeons and intensivist – as/if needed per physicians’ direction)
- 5000 cases per year in the endoscopy area – 500 inpatient/4500 outpatient
- 100+ ERCP and 180+ EUS in 2024
