Physician - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

The James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital (JAHVH) in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a full-time Physiatrist (PM&R Physician) to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to practice in one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive VA facilities, delivering expert rehabilitation care to America’s Veterans.

Position Highlights

• Provide expert-level clinical care in PM&R evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment, including use of telehealth modalities when appropriate.

• Care for a wide range of general rehabilitation populations and provide consultative expertise to professional staff within JAHVH as well as community providers.

• Opportunities to contribute in multiple specialty rehabilitation clinics, including:

  • Electrodiagnostic (EMG) Clinic

  • Rehabilitation Oncology Clinic

  • Amputation Clinic

• Function independently as a member of the James A. Haley Medical Staff with full clinical privileges.

• Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, Veteran-centered rehabilitation care.

• Academic opportunities with the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine, including resident/fellow teaching and research involvement.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens may be considered if qualified candidates are not available).

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

• Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State or Territory.

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).

• Prior experience in oncology rehabilitation, amputee care, or EMG is highly desirable but not required.
