Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic urologic conditions.

• Perform a full range of urologic surgical procedures, including endoscopic, laparoscopic, and open surgeries.

• Conduct outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, and operative care for Veterans with urologic disorders.

• Interpret diagnostic imaging, lab studies, and pathology relevant to urologic disease.

• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and provide collaborative care across specialties.

• Contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows as part of an academic environment.

• Ensure compliance with VA, federal, and national (JCAHO) standards for quality and safety.

• Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives as desired.
