About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Internal Medicine Associate Program Director to join our exceptional faculty team. As the Associate Program Director, you will play a key role in overseeing and developing our esteemed Internal Medicine Residency Program. You'll be at the forefront of fostering educational excellence, enhancing resident training, and shaping the future of Internal Medicine. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with an outstanding team of faculty, residents, and medical professionals committed to advancing the field of medicine.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist in the strategic leadership and management of the Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to residents, helping them grow as skilled physicians
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to design, implement, and assess educational curriculum and training programs
  • Ensure residents meet competency milestones while encouraging their professional growth
  • Serve as a liaison between the residents, faculty, and administration to ensure a high-quality training experience, including oversight of resident clinical metrics
  • Engage in clinical practice and contribute to departmental research initiatives
  • Support efforts to advance academic and community outreach initiatives, quality improvement initiatives, and other scholarly productivity
  • Ongoing evaluation of the academic curriculum, per ACGME programmatic requirements, while harnessing the local resources into streamlined educational experiences.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Unrestricted Michigan Medical License (Required)
  • Board-Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Proven experience in medical education, leadership, and mentoring
  • Passion for resident education and a strong commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
