Position Summary:
Hartford HealthCare is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team, providing comprehensive radiation oncology services at our Bridgeport and Fairfield locations. We are seeking a physician with a clinical interest or desire to specialize in gastrointestinal (GI) and lung cancers.

Bridgeport: Equipped with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, offering cutting-edge treatments including IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS, and SBRT.
Fairfield: Home to a Varian Ethos adaptive radiation therapy system, providing opportunities for daily adaptive planning and personalized treatment.
About the Program:
The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute in the Fairfield Region is a proud Care Partner of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, providing access to world-class expertise, innovative treatment protocols, and a shared commitment to advancing cancer care across the region.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care in radiation oncology across both Bridgeport and Fairfield campuses.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team, including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation therapists, physicists, and nurses to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Oversee simulation, contouring, treatment planning, and on-treatment management in accordance with institutional and national standards.
Lead adaptive planning and daily re-optimization using Varian Ethos technology to enhance treatment precision and outcomes.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case conferences.
Contribute to departmental quality assurance, safety initiatives, and process improvement activities.
Engage in education, mentorship, and potential clinical research in alignment with Hartford HealthCares academic and community mission.
Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology (ABR).
Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
Strong clinical skills with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Experience with Varian systems and adaptive radiation therapy preferred.
