Job Summary:
St. David’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic cardiology care team. This hospital-based role focuses on delivering high-quality care to post-surgical and ICU cardiac patients, supporting both cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons in Austin, TX.
Qualified Candidates: - Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Texas licensure required
- No Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)
- Hospital bases APP
- Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience in cardiology and/or ICU settings
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- No night shifts
- Provide inpatient cardiac care, including rounding, assessments, and care coordination.
- Develop and implement discharge plans under the supervision of cardiology providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Cover patient care responsibilities at St. David’s Medical Center.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rounding across St. David’s HealthCare hospitals (approximately one weekend every two months).
