Samaritan Health Services has an opportunity for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate

Samaritan Health Services a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a new grad or experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Newport, OR, working a 4-day a week schedule.

This role is perfect for someone looking to work alongside a tight-knit team while also having autonomy to support patients throughout their care journey from start to finish.

Nestled between the Coast Range and the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean, Newport boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery on the central Oregon Coast with vast stretches of rugged cliffs, lush vegetation and sandy beaches. The temperate coastal climate allows for a variety of activities year-round including hiking, whale watching, golfing, shopping, deep-sea fishing and surfing.

Job Specifics

  • 4-day work week Monday – Thursday, templated schedule 8 – 12:30pm, 1 – 5pm
  • Work collaboratively with experienced, tight knit nursing staff, case managers, and other specialty providers
  • Up to 20 patients per day, seeing acute/chronic wounds, edema, pre- and post-op consultation for venous ablation
  • No call, some travel involved
  • Procedures include wound debridement, biopsy, cultures

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Wound Care preferred
  • Current Oregon Licensure or license eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
