Brown Health Medical Group, Division of Gastroenterology, is seeking an energetic, motivated, and team-oriented physician to join our growing academic gastroenterology practice in Rhode Island.

Our division maintains a strong partnership with Brown University Health, the states largest and most comprehensive healthcare system, and offers a well-established academic environment committed to clinical excellence, medical education, and research innovation.

We deliver high-quality care across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disease and serve as regional leaders in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal malignancies, advanced endoscopy, and complex GI disorders.

Endoscopic procedures are performed in state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient endoscopy units, equipped with the latest technology to support high procedural volume and advanced therapeutic interventions.

 

About the Position

  • Join a collaborative team of 14 (soon to be 17) gastroenterologists and 5 advanced practice providers.
  • Perform 800+ endoscopic cases annually.
  • Participate in call coverage 1:7 weekends on average, with GI fellows providing first-call support.
  • Schedule includes 4 clinical days + 1 administrative day per week.
  • Practice supported by specialized GI nurses and clinical pharmacists on site.
  • Individualized practice support with dedicated ancillary services
  • Academic appointment at Brown University with opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and clinical research

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Commitment to outstanding patient care, teaching, and research.
  • Highly motivated to contribute to a thriving academic GI practice.
