Position Summary
We are seeking a board-certified, fellowship-trained Total Joint Surgeon to join our growing orthopedic team. This role focuses on adult reconstruction with an emphasis on total joint arthroplasty (hip, knee, and related procedures), while also providing comprehensive care in musculoskeletal diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Evaluate and diagnose patients with degenerative joint disease, arthritis, pain, or mobility limitations affecting major joints (hip, knee, shoulder).
Develop individualized treatment plans that may include nonsurgical therapy, injections, physical therapy coordination, and surgical intervention.
Perform total joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, revision procedures) and other related arthroplasty procedures, using evidence-based techniques and advanced implants/fixation systems.
Perform pre-operative planning and post-operative care, including complication management and long-term joint health follow-up.
Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations to assess joint function, pain severity, and functional limitations.
Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT) into clinical decision-making.
Communicate treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes clearly and compassionately to patients and families.
Work collaboratively with physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, pain management specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Coordinate with ancillary services for rehabilitation and follow-up care plans.
Maintain complete and accurate medical records, surgical documentation, and follow-up notes.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality review, and office-based orthopedic outcomes tracking.
May participate in call schedules and after-hours patient care coverage, as needed.
Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
Fellowship training in Total Joint Arthroplasty / Adult Reconstruction is highly preferred (or equivalent substantial experience).
Valid FL medical license or eligibility to obtain.
Demonstrated expertise in adult joint replacement techniques, peri-operative care, and musculoskeletal surgical management.
Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centered care.
Experience with practice growth initiatives and patient engagement strategies.
Ability to contribute to clinical protocol development and practice efficiency improvements.
