St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient orthopedic surgery team in Syracuse, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of hospital employed orthopedic surgeons and PAs in a hospital-based setting, providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
Position Highlights:
- First assist in surgical procedures
- Inpatient management of orthopedic surgery patients
- Pre- and post-operative assessments, rounding, discharge planning
- Collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams
- Supportive and collegial environment
Schedule:
- Full-time, varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Call Requirements: 3-4 nights unrestricted call per month
- NYS licensure as NP or PA
- DEA certification
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Experience in orthopedic or surgical inpatient care preferred
- New grads will not be considered at this time
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $145,000-$206,000
- Starting Bonus: $5,000
