We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician specializing in Radiology to provide vital diagnostic support in Charleston, WV. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic imaging interpretation across modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, and NM.
- Perform specialized procedures such as biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, renal), CT-guided and US-guided interventions.
- Execute drainage procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, and chest tube placements.
- Perform lumbar punctures and arthrograms for joint injuries.
- Handle a versatile case mix, including fluoroscopy and interventional radiology procedures.
- Meet daily volume expectations of 90-100 cases with wRVUs of 60-70 in an onsite hospital setting.
- Ability to perform infant BE exams is required.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution; Board Certification in Radiology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in West Virginia.
- Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with proficiency in interpreting various imaging modalities.
- Ability to perform interventional procedures and perform infant BE exams.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with complex interventional radiology procedures.
- Prior work in hospital settings with high-volume case loads.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Board-certified radiologist with at least 2 years of recent clinical experience.
- Prior radiology locum or hospital-based experience is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Full-time availability during weekdays, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
- Travel and licensing reimbursements when applicable.
- Compliance with all healthcare and safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform infant BE exams.
This position offers an hourly rate of $19.50, with additional compensation for holidays, overtime, and holiday overtime.
