Job Summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley is seeking a Nocturnist Physician Hospitalist to join their team in Wilkes Barre, PA.Schedule: 7pm - 7am (7 days on, 7 days off)ICU: Partially openProcedures: Not RequiredA hospital-based physician who only works overnight. Nocturnists are usually trained in internal medicine and have experience in hospital medicine. However, there are nocturnists trained in other such as psychiatry or family medicine.

Job Duties

  • Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.Performsand/orinterpretsdiagnostic testsas needed.
  • Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.May prescribeor administermedications.Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that includepatients'histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
