Join Our Team as a Locum Physician Assistant (PA) – Pathology Opportunity in Bismarck, ND

Embark on a rewarding temporary role supporting a busy hospital pathology lab in Bismarck, North Dakota. This essential position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through specialized pathology procedures, including frozen sections, biopsies, and complex surgical resections. Engage in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes, all while enjoying a flexible schedule from December 29, 2025, through April 2025.

What You Will Bring:

• Certified Physician Assistant with active registration
• Proven ability to perform frozen section cases and complex surgical resections
• Strong understanding of pathology procedures, including gross exam, staining, and specimen handling
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic and SoftPath
• Excellent technical skills, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in hospital-based pathology labs
• Familiarity with medical renal and muscle biopsies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with histology technicians and support staff

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Certified Physician Assistant with current credentials
• Previous experience in a hospital pathology setting preferred
• Demonstrated competency in handling high-volume specimen processing

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to work weekdays, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Willingness to assist with training and orientation
• Travel and lodging arrangements considered; local candidates preferred for ease of placement

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: Competitive offered range (please inquire)
• Orientation: $105–115 per hour (after 8 hours)
• Support Staff: Grossing Tech, Histology Techs available
