Core Responsibilities:

Conduct holistic evaluations of renal and urinary symptoms, assessing physical, metabolic, mental, emotional, and social well-being in patients.
Diagnose, treat, and manage common acute and chronic kidney conditions.
Carefully monitor prescriptions, manage potential drug interactions, and tailor regimens based on glomerular filtration rate, dialysis status, and comorbidities.
Collaborate with nurses, APPs, dietitians, vascular surgeons, endocrinologists, and other specialists for integrated care, including timely referrals for complex cases requiring subspecialty expertise.
Offer tailored renal health screenings and preventive counseling for lifestyle modifications.
Assess renal-related daily functioning, recommend assistive devices, and advise on safety.
Explain renal conditions, treatment options, and preventive strategies in clear, understandable ways, using educational tools like glomerular filtration rate calculators or kidney model diagrams.
