Hospitalist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a facility with an open ICU, requiring expertise in ventilator management and a proven track record with relevant case logs. Responsibilities include:
- Managing inpatient care during scheduled shifts
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient treatment
- Demonstrating proficiency in ventilator management, with case logs reflecting at least 15 cases in the past 24 months for credentialing purposes
- Adhering to hospital protocols and maintaining accurate documentation
Required Skills: - MD or DO medical degree with active state medical license
- Proven experience in hospital medicine or internal medicine healthcare settings
- Competency in managing ICU patients, including ventilator support
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Must possess case logs demonstrating a minimum of 15 ventilator management cases in the last 24 months
Nice to Have Skills: - Previous experience working in rural or community hospital environments
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or ATLS
Preferred Education and Experience: - Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- At least 2 years of hospitalist or ICU experience
- Experience with ongoing ventilator management and critical care procedures
Other Requirements: - Evidence of case logs for ventilator management must be included with application to obtain ICU privileges
- Availability to work day shifts from Tuesday to Tuesday, 7am-7pm, for 1-2 weeks per month starting mid-March or early April
- Must have or obtain privileges for ventilator management as required
