Position Summary
OU Health in partnership with University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our academic health system. The ideal candidate will provide expert diagnostic and interventional breast imaging services, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures, while contributing to our mission of excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Interpret breast imaging studies including digital mammography, tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
- Perform image-guided breast procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and pre-surgical localizations.
- Collaborate with breast surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary breast conferences and tumor boards.
Academic & Teaching
- Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in breast imaging and interventions.
- Develop and deliver lectures, case reviews, and hands-on training.
- Mentor trainees and contribute to curriculum development.
Research
- Engage in clinical or translational research in breast imaging and interventions.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national/international conferences.
- Seek grant funding and collaborate on institutional research initiatives.
Administrative
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement and safety programs.
- Participate in hospital committees and strategic planning for breast imaging services.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Radiology.
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging (or equivalent experience).
- Eligible for medical licensure in Oklahoma.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in advanced breast imaging techniques and interventional procedures.
- Track record of scholarly publications and research funding.
- Leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting.
