Job Summary
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases & Geographic Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a faculty physician at the Assistant Professor level or higher. This position offers a balanced academic role with a strong emphasis on inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases clinical care, alongside teaching and scholarly activity.
The successful candidate will provide infectious diseases consultation and longitudinal care at Parkland Memorial Hospital and/or Clements University Hospital. Potential opportunities include attending on general infectious diseases services (both teaching and non-teaching services), the musculoskeletal infectious diseases service, and the HIV inpatient service, based on candidates interests and expertise. Outpatient opportunities include providing care in the general infectious diseases clinic at Parkland or UT Southwestern and providing HIV care at the Parkland ACCESS Clinic, a Ryan White funded clinic. Faculty are expected to build an academic career with a focus on patient-oriented outcomes research and/or medical education, teaching learners ranging from medical students to residents and fellows.
