Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Specialist - Make a Difference in Patient Care

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine specialist to join our esteemed medical team through a locum assignment that offers the opportunity to establish and shape a new clinic in Everett. This pivotal role involves delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively within a dynamic environment, and contributing to the growth of our community healthcare services.
Required Skills:
- Valid and active medical license in the state
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology
- Proven experience in managing hematology and oncology patients
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a new clinical setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable managing outpatient and inpatient care, including hospital call coverage
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in establishing new clinics or healthcare programs
- Familiarity with community outreach and patient engagement
- Additional certifications in oncology or hematology
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology is highly desirable
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology settings
Other Requirements:
- Availability for full-time work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- Participation in a 1 in 6 weekend hospital call rotation, including 24-hour call and rounding on weekends
- Beeper call for weeknights (every other week)
- Ability to take after-hours calls for established clinic patients
- Willingness to work in a new clinical setting and help establish patient care protocols
- Flexibility to work with a low census patient volume and be available by phone as needed
- Eligible for OT pay after 40 clinical hours per week
- Subject to all applicable licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements
Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
