Job Title: Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical - Forensic Pathology

Required Skills:

  • Valid medical license and board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with specialization or experience in Forensic Pathology.
  • Proven proficiency in conducting autopsies, including house and coroner cases.
  • Strong knowledge of forensic procedures, pathology protocols, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills for report writing and consultations.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with forensic autopsies in a hospital or medical examiner setting.
  • Familiarity with criminal justice procedures and forensic investigation techniques.

  • Participation in forensic pathology conferences or continuing education programs.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2-3 years of post-residency experience in forensic pathology.
  • Certification from the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Experience handling a varied caseload of forensic cases.

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to work on scheduled dates, including specific blocks in February, May, June, and an unspecified week in October, with potential for case-driven scheduling.
  • Ability to credential in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for credentialing or case coordination.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
