Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Proven experience or strong interest in gastroenterology
• Excellent clinical skills with the ability to perform assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and patients
• Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently and compassionately

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in endoscopic procedures or advanced GI diagnostics
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
• Additional certifications relevant to gastroenterological care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology or related fields
• Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or relevant nurse practitioner certifying bodies

Other Requirements:

• Flexibility to work standard Monday through Friday schedule, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and clinical environments
• No travel required for this role, but willingness to meet licensing and certification reimbursements
