St. Josephs Health is seeking a licensed and certified NNP, PNP, or Neonatal PA to join our Level III NICU team in Syracuse, NY for a per diem opportunity. This advanced practice role offers experienced Providers to work in a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that is equipped and staffed 24-hours a day to provide newborns critical care.
Position Details
- Provide direct neonatal care including:
- History and physical exams
- Daily rounds
- Ordering labs, imaging, and medications
- Discharge planning
- Patient and family education
- Manage neonatal ventilation and participate in ongoing care coordination
- Perform advanced NICU procedures including:
- Intubations
- Chest tube placement
- Umbilical line placement
- Vent management
- Collaborate with Neonatologists, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Neonatology Nurse Practitioners, and the broader NICU team
- Per-Diem Schedule: 12-hour shifts available

Qualifications
- Licensed Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, or Neonatal Physician Assistant
- Current NYS license
- Neonatology experience required
- Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to high-quality neonatal care and family-centered practice
Compensation & Benefits:
- $100 per hour
- The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality performance incentives, or other forms of cash compensation. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and market factors in accordance with State law.
