NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to support our Spring, Texas clinics. This opportunity is ideal for providers looking for schedule flexibility while practicing in a fast-paced urgent care environment with strong clinical support.


Position Overview

  • Part-time urgent care position

  • Care for patients of all ages

  • Broad clinical scope including acute illnesses and injuries, pediatrics, occupational medicine, X-rays, and lab services

  • Providers practice independently while collaborating with a regional clinical leadership team


Schedule & Shift Expectations

  • Part-time position

  • Minimum of 4 shifts per month

  • Shifts are typically 12 hours

  • Schedules coordinated in advance

  • Opportunity for additional shifts based on clinic needs and provider availability

  • Weekend and holiday availability preferred


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients following urgent care best practices

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare values

  • Manage patient care from intake through discharge

  • Diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans

  • Clearly communicate care plans and follow-up instructions

  • Accurately document encounters in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Ensure appropriate coding and billing

  • Maintain clinical productivity and professionalism


Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license

  • Active DEA registration

  • NCCPA certification (PA) or ANCC/AANP certification (NP)

  • Nurse Practitioners must be Family-certified (able to treat all age groups)

  • Bachelor’s degree (PA) or Master’s degree (NP)

  • Active BLS certification

  • Strong EHR proficiency

  • Comfortable treating patients of all ages


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience

  • Comfort with initial X-ray interpretation

  • Strong procedural skills, including suturing and minor procedures

  • Ability to practice independently in a fast-paced environment
