In this vital position, you will provide expert medical care to oncology and hematology patients, participate in weekly tumor boards, and support ongoing clinical trials. The role involves managing a manageable patient caseload in a well-equipped environment, including a dedicated chemotherapy suite, access to pharmacists for patient education, and a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes. This is a full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling to accommodate your professional and personal commitments.
Required Skills:
- Certified or eligible for board certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Proven experience in oncology and hematology patient management
- Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with the Mosiaq EMR system
- Ability to handle a diverse patient population with sensitivity and professionalism
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a COC-accredited cancer center
- Participation in clinical trials or research activities
- Familiarity with EMR systems beyond Mosiaq
- Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of a residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training in Hematology and Oncology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in an oncology setting
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekend call duties
- Willingness to participate in ongoing education and tumor board discussions
- Ability to travel for professional development or conferences, if required
- Licensure and necessary certifications up to date
