Required Skills:

• Active Texas medical license with a valid DEA license.
• Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in neonatal or perinatal care.
• Proficient in managing high-risk deliveries, performing neonatal procedures, and creating detailed care plans using Epic documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently during 24-hour in-house shifts, including rounding, consultations, and care coordination.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a Level 4 NICU setting.
• Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation protocols and advanced neonatal procedures.
• Prior experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with medical student or resident supervision (limited to shadowing capacity).

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical practice in neonatology or perinatal medicine.
• Prior experience participating in high-acuity neonatal care environments.

Other Requirements:

• Commitment to working regular 24-hour shifts, with the ability to stay onsite in the call room.
• Willingness to work flexible scheduling as needed.
• Participation in hospital-based training, certifications (such as NRP), and ongoing education.
