Required Skills:
- Active Texas medical license with a valid DEA license.
- Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in neonatal or perinatal care.
- Proficient in managing high-risk deliveries, performing neonatal procedures, and creating detailed care plans using Epic documentation systems.
- Ability to work independently during 24-hour in-house shifts, including rounding, consultations, and care coordination.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Skills: - Experience working in a Level 4 NICU setting.
- Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation protocols and advanced neonatal procedures.
- Prior experience collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with medical student or resident supervision (limited to shadowing capacity).
Preferred Education and Experience: - Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- At least 5 years of relevant clinical practice in neonatology or perinatal medicine.
- Prior experience participating in high-acuity neonatal care environments.
Other Requirements: - Commitment to working regular 24-hour shifts, with the ability to stay onsite in the call room.
- Willingness to work flexible scheduling as needed.
- Participation in hospital-based training, certifications (such as NRP), and ongoing education.
