Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist to deliver urgent and emergent gynecological and obstetric care in a busy hospital setting. The position involves covering multiple in-house 24-hour call shifts per month on a long-term ongoing basis, with the chance to work in a supportive environment alongside experienced midwives and healthcare professionals. Ideal for providers passionate about acute care, this role offers the chance to operate in a fast-paced setting with diverse clinical cases ranging from hysterectomies and ectopic pregnancies to laparotomies and IUD insertions.

Required Skills:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid license to practice obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Proven experience in high-acuity obstetric and gynecologic emergency scenarios.
  • Exceptional clinical judgment with the ability to manage complex cases independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to cover scheduled in-house call shifts as required.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience working in emergency or hospital-based settings.
  • Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a hospital or emergency setting preferred.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to commit to scheduled in-house call shifts.
  • Willingness to work long hours including overnight shifts.
  • Valid medical licensure and DEA certification.
  • Must comply with all hospital and healthcare regulations and policies.
