Physician - Hospitalist Nocturnist (nights)

Boone Hospital, a 392-bed full service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Hospitalist Nocturnist Physician. The candidate for this position will be joining an established hospital within a strong community focused to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.

• Completely customizable schedule to fit your life, options include:
  1. Traditional schedule: 7 nights on/7 nights off (7:00 pm to 7:00 am)
  2. Reduced shifts per month schedule: only work 7-10 shifts per month (rather than 14)
  3. Variety in shifts schedule: rotate between the swing admissions shift and night shift. One week would be nights, off, then one week would be admitting from noon-midnight.
• Provides evidenced based medical care to those patients of participating program physicians.
• Responds to emergencies of all patients and responds as part of the Rapid Response Team.
• Participates in medical staff quality improvement and review activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional medical care of assigned patients, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver compassionate care.
• Perform thorough histories and physicals, adhering to hospital by-laws and best practices.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety in this critical role at Boone Health.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.

Qualifications:

• Degree: Doctorate in Medicine
• Experience: Preferred, not required
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
• License: Licensed Physician

Work Shift: Full time, 7 nights on/7 nights off (7:00 pm to 7:00 am)
