In this role, you will provide essential emergency medical services during 12-hour shifts, either from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM, ensuring high-quality care for a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for managing a steady flow of approximately 18-20 patients per shift within a high-volume emergency department serving 32,000 annual visits. The facility features an open ICU and a collaborative team environment, with one physician and two mid-level providers sharing coverage.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Valid medical license in the state, with current DEA registration
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS
• Proven ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 EMR system

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in open ICU management
• Prior work in high-acuity emergency departments
• Advanced life support certifications (ACLS, ATLS, PALS)
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience
• Active state medical license and hospital credentials

Other Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in NC Medicaid and PECOS
• Willingness to temporarily reside in hospital-provided accommodations
• Travel reimbursement capped at $500
