Opportunity Details

  • Position Type: Full Time - 1.0 FTE
  • Schedule: Flexible shifts available: weekdays 8:00 am-8:00 pm, weekends 8:00 am-4:00 pm 
  • Location:Oakland/Pontiac, MI (Flexibility required to cover additional sites within our network)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in occupational medicine, urgent care, orthopedics, or primary care
  • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines, workers compensation processes, and regulatory compliance
  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Michigan
  • BLS/ACLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g. DOT Examiner) preferred
  • Proficient in minor procedures, evaluation of eye injuries, and musculoskeletal physical exams
  • DEA license required

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Perform pre-employment and regulatory physicals in accordance with organizational and industry standards
  • Evaluate, manage work-related injuries and illnesses, with appropriate documentation and treatment plans and determine OSHA recordability
  • Conduct and interpret Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) and audiograms
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential medical records, complete charts promptly
  • Communicate effectively with employees, employers, nurse case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Provide excellent patient care and ensure adherence to all occupational health policies and procedures
  • Educate patients on health and safety practices in the workplace
