The University of Texas at Austin - Dell Medical School is seeking a full-time Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physiatrist to join its expanding outpatient practice. This faculty role offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while contributing to medical education and mentoring students, residents, and fellows. The position also supports involvement in clinical research, with optional telemedicine and procedural opportunitiesincluding fluoroscopy and ultrasound. Experience or training in neurorehabilitation is highly valued.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO, board-certified/board-eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

  • Eligible for Texas medical license and DEA registration

  • Fellowship training in neurorehabilitation is welcome but not required

  • Faculty rank based on experience (Assistant, Associate, Professor)

  • 2026 graduates considered

Practice & Responsibilities:

  • Primarily outpatient clinical practice, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

  • Collaboration with subspecialists in neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, MS and neuroimmunology, headache, spine, and functional neurosurgery

  • Optional procedures using fluoroscopy and ultrasound

  • Occasional call backup during business hours for urgent patient decisions

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary aligned with AAMC model, starting at the 50th percentile and adjusted for years in rank

  • Relocation allowance: $10-25K depending on rank

  • CME allowance: $3,500 plus 10-20 days paid time off, depending on rank
