Position Overview
Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a Medical Director of Occupational Medicine to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for a comprehensive occupational health program serving health system employees and regional corporate partners. This role combines executive-level medical oversight with hands-on clinical leadership, program development, and regulatory stewardship within a leading academic health system.
Key Responsibilities – Clinical and Medical Leadership
- Serve as senior physician leader for Occupational Medicine across Princeton Health.
- Provide medical oversight and direction to physicians, APPs, nursing, and clinical staff.
- Ensure high-quality, compliant, and consistent delivery of occupational health services.
- Provide direct and indirect clinical care to health system employees and contracted corporate clients.
- Serve as Medical Director for Occupational Medicine Operations at PPPL.
- Provide medical direction and AED oversight for corporate clients.
Strategic Growth and Program Development
- Lead development and expansion of occupational health clinical and medical service lines.
- Identify and implement new employer-based health offerings and partnerships.
- Establish strategic priorities aligned with organizational goals.
- Drive quality improvement, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction initiatives.
Quality, Compliance, and Governance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, DOT, and related regulatory standards.
- Develop and oversee occupational health medical policies and procedures.
- Participate in Infection Control and Environment of Care committees.
- Provide consultative expertise for occupational health and workplace safety.
- Support resolution of occupational health client medical issues.
Position Highlights
- Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule.
- No call, nights, or weekends.
- Based at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
- EMR: Epic.
Qualifications
- D. or D.O.
- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine.
- MRO and FMCSA certification required or obtained within 6–12 months of hire.
- Active New Jersey medical license, DEA, and CDS.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
