The
Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicineat Dartmouth Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cytopathologist to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in an academic medical center with a diverse and complex case mix while contributing to the institutions missions of clinical excellence, education, and research. Cytopathology-boarded candidates with another subspecialty surgical pathology interest are encouraged to apply.The successful candidate will join a collaborative group of subspecialty pathologists and work closely with clinical colleagues across oncology, surgery, radiology, and other disciplines.
Clinical Responsibilities - Interpretation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens
- Performance and interpretation of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) procedures, including rapid on-site and digital remote adequacy assessment
- Participation in surgical pathology services consistent with training and interests, if applicable
- Active involvement in multidisciplinary conferences
- Contribution to laboratory quality improvement and service development initiatives
Academic Responsibilities - Teaching and mentorship of pathology residents, fellows, and medical students
- Opportunities to pursue clinical, translational, or educational research aligned with candidate career development
- Scholarly activity supported through departmental and institutional resources
Qualifications - MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Completion of an accredited Cytopathology fellowship
- Ability to obtain/maintain New Hampshire and Vermont medical licenses
- Commitment to academic pathology, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration
