In this vital role, you will cover both office and hospital settings, including on-call duties, supporting the community through comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. You will work with a proficient team of physicians, midwives, and advanced practice providers, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and EMR systems to deliver exceptional patient care. The position is ideal for physicians seeking a short-term assignment with meaningful clinical impact.

Required Skills

• MD or DO degree with valid medical licensure to practice in Virginia
• Proven experience in obstetrics and gynecology practice, with competency in routine obstetric procedures, fetal monitoring, ultrasounds, and gynecological surgeries
• Strong clinical skills in managing low to moderate risk pregnancies and gynecological interventions
• Ability to interpret FHR, perform ultrasounds, and handle routine deliveries, including VBACs and C-sections
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse clinical environment

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Level IIID NICU protocols and ultrasonography interpretation
• Previous experience as a locum or covering hospital-based OB/GYN services
• Bilingual capabilities or additional language skills for enhanced patient communication

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution
• At least 2 years of OB/GYN practice experience post-residency
• Prior hospital and office-based obstetrics experience, with proficiency in EMR systems such as EPIC

Other Requirements

• Valid Virginia medical license and DEA registration
• Certification in BLS and NRP
• Willingness to work scheduled office hours, on-call shifts, and perform procedures as required
• Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 120 days after submission
