Locum - Physician - Urology Bismarck, ND

In this position, you will assist with weekend call duties, manage outpatient clinic responsibilities, and perform procedures such as cystoscopy and dilation, ensuring seamless patient care during your scheduled shifts. The role requires working one weekend per month, with duties spanning from Friday morning through Monday morning, 24-hour call coverage. You will collaborate with a skilled support staff, including RNs and CNAs, in a fully equipped hospital setting. Your expertise will help maintain continuity of care and support the permanent provider during busy weekends.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid North Dakota medical license
• Board certification or eligibility in Urology
• Proven proficiency in cystoscopy and dilation procedures
• Current DEA registration
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently during weekend shifts

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and post-op patient follow-up
• Prior experience in hospital-based urology practices

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of post-residency practice in urology or similar setting
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing completed within 90 days with upcoming verification of licensure, DEA, and case logs
• Ability to travel to the facility in Bismarck, ND; lodging and travel reimbursements provided when applicable
• Must be comfortable performing scheduled surgeries and emergent cases with an anticipated volume of 3-4 procedures per day
• Willingness to participate in ongoing credentialing processes and maintain licensure standards
