Overview 

The Division of Plastic Surgery, in the Department of Surgery at Yale University is seeking a colleague at the level of Assistant Professor who wishes to focus his/her practice on general reconstruction, including breast reconstruction.  Ideally, the candidate will have completed a fellowship in microsurgery surgery.  Multiple positions are available across the following locations: Yale-New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Focused practice on breast reconstruction. Call requirements will include spine, chest wall and ab wall. Call will be focused on general plastics and will not include hand or face.
  • Provide excellent clinical care utilizing technology such as SPY and Symani robotic system.
  • Expand the academic profile of the program in education and if desired, clinical research.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, post-fellowship work preferred
  • Exceptional collaborative interpersonal skills, along with the commitment to making important contributions to the field of plastic surgery
  • Board eligibility/certification required in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery
  • Interest in contributing to residency education as well as research

Licensure:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent
  • Fellowship training in Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery
