Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology

Health First Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for our Hematology/Oncology department to focus on our patients within Holmes Regional Medical Center.  Internal Medicine or Hematology/Oncology experience is required to join our hospitalist team. This role provides inpatient and follow-up care for oncology patients, to include oncologic symptom management, chemotherapy management, and hematology consults.  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage hospitalized oncology and hematology patients and follow-up visits

• Conduct inpatient consults and coordinate care with the hematology/oncology team

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning

Practice Model

• 7-on / 7-off rotation shared with other oncology APP hospitalists

• Focused on inpatient care

• Supportive team environment with five oncology physicians

Qualifications

• NP or PA with hematology/oncology experience

• Comfortable managing hospitalized oncology patients

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Current licensure in Florida and relevant board/certifications
