Maximus is seeking MD/DO professionals to join our team providing expert medical opinions, peer reviews, and expert testimony cases. As an Medical Expert reviewer, you will play a critical role in resolving disputes related to reimbursement, differing opinions between healthcare providers, and complex healthcare matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medical opinions to resolve disputes regarding workers compensation cases, including issues of treatment necessity, disability determination, and return-to-work capabilities.
• Serve as a neutral third-party expert when there is a disagreement between independent medical examiners or healthcare providers.
• Offer testimony in legal settings when doctors disagree on medical evidence or treatment recommendations.
• Your medical opinion will be given a legal presumption of correctness unless clear and convincing evidence to the contrary is presented.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active and clean Medical License.
• Direct Patient Care experience 24 hours per week required
• Board Certified in your specialty.
• 5+ years of post-training experience in your specialty.
