Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine

Join our Premier Emergency Department as an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner passionate about providing critical care in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner to deliver top-tier urgent and emergent care to a diverse patient population. This vital role offers the opportunity to work within a committed team, making a meaningful impact on the community’s health outcomes.

In this dynamic position, you will support an integrated team of physicians and nurses, managing an average of over 9,800 adult and pediatric patients annually. The role involves night shift coverage (8 p.m. – 8 a.m.) across several upcoming shifts starting March 1, 2026, with ongoing contract opportunities. You will work within a 25-bed critical access hospital utilizing the Cerner EMR system, providing high-quality care to patients with mostly level 3 acuity.

Required Skills:

• Valid New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner license
• Prior emergency medicine experience, specifically with orthopedic cases
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an urgent care team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification in emergency medicine (ACNP, ENP, or similar)
• Experience working within a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Bilingual proficiency to serve diverse populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience, preferably in a Level III trauma environment

Other Requirements:

• Valid NH license in hand prior to start date
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts
• EMR competency with Cerner system
• Travel reimbursement for mileage and lodging, with accommodations arranged in-house or via preferred local hotels
