Exciting Opportunity for an Electrophysiology Physician
Join our dedicated team as an Electrophysiology Physician and play a vital role in delivering advanced cardiac care in a hospital-based setting. This full-time position offers a chance to work in a collaborative environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to perform complex procedures that impact patients' lives. With a focus on inpatient implantable device therapies and ablative procedures, you will support a committed team serving adult patients in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
Key responsibilities include inpatient device implants, ablations, implantable loop recorders, and cardioversions under moderate sedation. You will work alongside a clinician-focused team with comprehensive support staff, including an electrophysiology advanced practice provider. The schedule primarily involves weekday hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with scheduled weekend call coverage (Friday 6 p.m. through Monday 7 a.m.), ensuring optimal patient care continuity.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Electrophysiology
- Tennessee State Medical License
- Minimum of 2 years of EP experience
- Certification in BLS and ACLS
- DEA registration or exemption
- Proficiency with CARTO and Abbott mapping systems
- Ability to manage inpatient cardiology cases efficiently
- Strong documentation skills in Epic EMR
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with implantable loop recorders
- Additional certification or training in advanced electrophysiology techniques
- Experience in telemedicine or remote monitoring technologies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Residency and fellowship training in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
- At least 2 years of post-fellowship EP practice
Other Requirements:
- Current vaccinations including MMR, Varicella, Flu, and TB testing
- Up-to-date background check and clear credentialing process (60-90 days)
- Ability to secure Tennessee medical licensure and DEA registration
- Willingness to perform weekend call shifts and on-call responsibilities
- Ability to travel occasionally, with billable travel (flights and mileage or rental car)
This role offers an hourly pay rate of $429.00, with additional compensation for pager and weekend call coverage.
