Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure: Active New York State Medical License (Required).
  • Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures (e.g., endoscopy, colonoscopy), interpretation of related diagnostics, and management of digestive disorders.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent bedside manner, strong communication skills, cultural competence, compassion, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care to patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive system disorders.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy.
  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
  • Interpret diagnostic test results and imaging studies.
  • Educate patients on digestive health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
