Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview is seeking an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician to join our primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinic Stillwater.
Responsibilities:
- Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care. Including the quality focus for the whole patient.
- Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care.
- Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients clinical problems and health care needs
- Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers as appropriate. Refers within the Fairview network.
- Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope.
- Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.
- Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.
- Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques.
- Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed.
- Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department.
- May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit.
- Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
- Participates in call coverage rotation and other coverage needs for the site as needed
- Participates in clinic meetings
- Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows
- Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
Practice Details:
- Join a team of 6 providers.
- Average patient volume of approximately 18-20 patients per day
- Opening: 1.0 FTE (34 patient contact hours) - flexible schedule.
- Fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic)
Community Information:
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics or residency training program.
- BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA.
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
Qualifications:
$292,650 - $325,167 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
