Boone Hospital Center, a 392-bed full service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist. The role provides emergent and elective interventional services, participates in multidisciplinary heart team decision-making, and contributes to quality improvement, program development, and hospital-based cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for stable ischemic heart disease and acute coronary syndromes, including STEMI/NSTEMI.
  • Provide 24/7 STEMI call coverage per hospital schedule.
  • Perform adjunctive procedures as credentialed (e.g., IVUS, OCT, FFR/iFR, mechanical circulatory support placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, pericardiocentesis).
  • Participate in structural heart and/or peripheral vascular interventions if trained and privileged.
  • Provide inpatient cardiology consultation and peri-procedural management.
  • Collaborate in the management of cardiogenic shock and cardiac arrest, including use of mechanical circulatory support where appropriate.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary Heart Team conferences for coronary and structural case review.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Eligible for state medical licensure
  • ACLS certification
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Commitment to team-based cardiovascular care
