The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a talented Endoscopic Neurosurgeon at the Associate or Full Professor rank to join our faculty. As national leaders in research, patient care, and education, Duke Neurosurgery is experiencing tremendous growth and is currently seeking a candidate with great clinical acumen to provide patients with high quality compassionate care.

The ideal candidate will be a mid-career surgeon with leadership potential and extensive experience in minimally invasive and endoscopic neurosurgical procedures, demonstrating both clinical excellence and a commitment to advancing patient care through innovation, teaching, and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex endoscopic endonasal neurosurgical procedures, including but not limited to skull base surgery, and intraventricular procedures.
  • Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions suitable for endoscopic approaches.
  • Mentor and educate residents, fellows, and medical students, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to departmental leadership and strategic initiatives in alignment with institutional goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery.
  • Completion of a neurosurgery residency and fellowship training in endoscopic or minimally invasive neurosurgery.
  • 5–10 years of experience preferred, demonstrating a strong record of surgical outcomes and patient care excellence.
  • Proven experience in teaching and mentoring within academic or hospital-based programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
