Required Skills:

• Valid medical license and current board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Proven experience in emergency care, with proficiency in managing diverse trauma and medical cases.
• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and multitasking abilities in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and emergency staff.
• Familiarity with Meditech 6.1 EMR system.
• Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience working in open ICU settings.
• Additional certifications such as ATLS, PALS, or BLS.
• Experience managing high patient volumes in a busy emergency department.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in high-volume ER settings with longitudinal patient care competencies.

Other Requirements:

• Availability for scheduled shifts as outlined on the start date.
• Capacity to handle standard solo ER coverage during 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to travel within the capped expenses, with costs not exceeding $500.
• Must be proficient in managing a daily patient volume of approximately 90-100 patients, with typical physician interactions of 18-20 patients per shift.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care consistently.
