We seek a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatric Nephrologist to provide expert care for pediatric patients with complex renal conditions. Required Skills:

  • Valid medical license and board certification in Pediatric Nephrology
  • Proficiency in managing renal disorders such as Bartter’s Syndrome, Fabry Disease, Fanconi Syndrome, Hemolytic-Uremic Syndrome, and Hepatorenal Syndrome
  • Experience with renal transplantation and EEG interpretation (reading EEGs at Reading Hospital is required)
  • Skilled in performing procedures including hemodialysis, percutaneous renal biopsies, and needle biopsies of the kidney
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional experience with peritoneal dialysis (acute/chronic)
  • Familiarity with hospital-based outpatient and inpatient nephrology care
  • Prior experience working in pediatric nephrology settings or academic institutions
  • Fluency in multiple languages to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Completion of a pediatric nephrology fellowship
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in pediatric nephrology
  • Prior experience managing dialysis procedures and renal transplant patients

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of one week, ideally two weeks, per month with availability for calls evenings and weekends (Monday 7 am to following Monday 7 am)
  • Ability to see a minimum of five outpatient cases daily during on-call weeks
  • Coverage responsibilities include approximately 70% inpatient and 30% outpatient care
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to varying clinical demands
  • Valid certifications in licensure and clinical procedures, with reimbursement for travel and related expenses when applicable
