In this position, you'll perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily conducting interview-based assessments with some physical examinations. You will evaluate musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, utilizing skills in METs testing, range of motion, and muscle strength assessments. The role is ideal for those with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, or general medicine. All evaluations are completed via standardized forms within our provider portal, with report submissions required within 48 hours. The role provides flexible scheduling options, including half-day or full-day shifts, with the opportunity for both local practice-based work or traveling to VES leased facilities.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular assessments
- Experience evaluating respiratory and neurological conditions
- Skilled in METs testing and physical assessment using Goniometers
- Ability to complete standardized reporting within 48 hours
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow protocols
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Certification in DMA (preferred, but training provided)
- Knowledge of Discharge Summary & DBQ reporting processes
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations
- Familiarity with medical diagnostics and medical record review
- Experience in military or veteran healthcare settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Active medical license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain
- Previous experience in general medicine or evaluation-based exams
- Certification in DMA or willingness to obtain
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for exams, with travel expenses reimbursed
- Certification in DMA (training provided; certification costs not covered)
- Ability to complete all required training within our new Reach360 system
- Commitment to delivering high-quality assessments within tight deadlines
- Must have reliable internet access and own a personal laptop (non-Mac)

- Hourly Rate: $624.00
